Inspired by Dickens on the Strand - A celebration of Galveston’s victorian history, Charles Dickens, Edgar Allen Poe, and…pirates…for some reason. Specifically a night when I was celebrating at an after-hours event in full gibson girl getup and got to have an extended conversation with a very merry and very in-character Charles Dickens.
Notes: Hot mulled red wine, flavored with cranberries, warm spices, and orange zest; layered over a traditional chypre perfume base, pipe tobacco, and woods.

Exactly the potpourri my grandma had in her bathroom when I was a kid. Can’t get over that association, doesn’t give what I was hoping it would.

Realistic Muled Wine
The first spray was heavy on the alcohol scent, but after a few seconds it becomes a distinct dusty red wine scent with orange and cranberry to accompany it. Photorealistic to muled wine in the winter. Impressively long wear time and projection.

Winter tobacco and orange
For me, this starts like a vintage makeup compact, powdery and heavy. The tobacco base is more complex than I expected, then this orange note comes through in the finish. Beautiful and layered, perfect for cold night in.

Christmas!
A beautiful and festive scent. Like a mulled Christmas wine or cider.

Mr Dickens know what’s up
A wildly unique take on a chypre. The mulled red wine really comes through. It smells like eating the orange at the bottom of your cup. Then add the oakmoss and tobacco and you got yourself a nuanced perfume.
I love the way Zoey’s work develops on skin and the Cirrus funk that comes out in different ways in every frag I have tried. Mr dickens is a funky fella and he smells delightful.
