An idealized barn in late summer/early fall. It has been decorated to host a community event. There are bales of golden straw stacked against the sunbleached wooden door. The smoke of late summer field burns is in the air while someone peels an apple directly onto the ground nearby.
Notes: Dried golden straw, smoke, apple skins, osmanthus, 7 year aged Laotian oudh, vetiver, roast barley, solar notes
This fragrance was created to highlight some natural laotian oud oil that was fortunate enough to find. It is extremely warm and hay-like. Very lightly animalic with an almost fruity sweetness. Extremely easy-wearing for an oud.

Zoey, with Cirrus Parfum, has created the absolute best value for fragrance in the business. I purchased Brushfire as the 1st for my collection and it stands toe to toe with other deeply intense smokey and pungently sweet perfumes that got 3 to 4 times more. I've also purchased a sample set from the core collection and nearly every single scent has made it to my "to buy list" for the future. I fully expect to collect nearly the entire house by years end.
Brushfire was such a fun treat to wear during the holidays the past few months. My sister-in-law caught a whiff of it when I was going to the liquor cabinet to mix a drink and she said my perfume smelled so festive and fun. It really does feel like I’m holding a cup of hot apple cider while I walk in some afternoon light in the fields with the smell of fall tidings in the air, and when it’s on my scarf, it smells more like fun in the barnyard. It’s a really uplifting and happy kind of scent.
I got a sample of this perfume as a freebie in my most recent order, and I was wary to say the least - oud, vetiver, barley, hay (straw) usually make my smell like a barn in the least fun way possible, but something about this just works. On my skin, it opens up with just a hint of that barnyard funk, but within seconds it transforms into the most gorgeous, warm, gently smoky harvest scent, without evoking a fall candle. I swear I could feel the warmth of the sun in this perfume, and the osmanthus gives it just enough of a floral quality to be incredibly wearable.
I grew up in a small town where a common fall activity was going to the nearby corn maze and participating in some autumnal festivities. When I smell this, I'm 8 again. I'm sitting next to my mom on a rickety trailer being towed by a tractor. The bales of hay we are sitting on are poking me, but I smile anyways. It's south Texas, so its still 80 degrees in late October, but the first glimpses of cooler weather are carried in on the breeze. When we get home, we sit around the fire pit while my dad plays his guitar and the smell of straw lingers in my nose.
My wife and I discovered Zoey through tik tok, and wow are we glad we did. I am usually not a smokey / campfire fan but holy cow. I am in love with this and will be purchasing a full size bottle for sure. We love supporting creators that truly care about their craft, and that is incredibly evident here and throughout the other scents.
