My experiment to make a modern fleurmande chypre. This feels quite feminine to me and has opposing elements of brightness and grounded sweets.

Notes: tonka bean, lilac, vanilla absolute, green cardamom, cashmere cardigans, white chocolate, and plumeria over a modernized chypre base.

Streaks of light piercing through the curtains on a quiet Saturday morning. You know that when you get out of bed the house will be just a bit too cold. You haven’t turned the heat on yet this season. You bide your time. Hit the snooze button, and wait for the sun’s warmth to do it’s work.

Dreamy and original

I haven’t ever smelled a fleurmande Chypre before and I’m so glad my introduction to them was this one because going by the notes alone, I may have hesitated to buy it. This perfume I could easily wear year-round because the floral notes offer a lightness, the warmer notes give it a beautiful and cozy warmth and the gourmand notes have just the right amount of sweetness to tie everything all together. If anyone is interested in trying a different take on a chypre, I highly recommended this one.

Such a cozy & unexpected scent!

Snooze was a blind but for me, and completely took me by surprise - in a great way! It is warm and cozy and easy to wear. It is quite sweet, but the floral touch keeps it from being too edible. I’m obsessed - bought a smaller size but will be coming back for the full size, for sure!!

A fuzzy, cuddly halo.

Snooze feels designed for your local earth angel or old soul to dress them up in a fuzzy halo or purple/light grey aura during the bleak midwinter. She’s the good girl that got away, wearing a cashmere sweater and smelling like the only flowers you’ll really smell in winter, powdery purple florals pumping out of the air vents on a chilly breeze while someone does their laundry.
The white chocolate in this is sprinkled with a little salt, which I absolutely love.
This is a cozy white chocolate sandalwood perfume, powdery, purple, and nearly edible. Pondering whether I should pick up in oil or edp format!
