Betrothed
Betrothed
A gorgeous, almost creamy rose floral with a little spice from the black peppercorn and oudh. This started as an experiment in combining all of my "white" materials but took on a life of its own when it sparked a memory of watching a man propose in the Portland Rose Garden.
Notes: white tea roses, transparent bone musk, white lilies, white oudh, a trace of vanillin and black peppercorn
White oudh (aetoxylon) is a different tree species than the agarwood of traditional true oudh. It does not have the animalic undertones that are common with this material, but it is wonderfully complex and provides an excellent base for transparent florals.

This fragrance is a creamy and delicate while having a lightly spicy edge that is reminiscent of how black pepper cuts the richness of the fat in carbonara. The white tea roses and oud lend a creaminess to this fragrance that is reminiscent of a thick and lush rose milk. While decadent, it isn't overindulgent. It reminds me of the fanciest tea party with a beautiful spread of delicacies that are best enjoyed while wearing your finest clothing. I am truly blown away by how beautiful this fragrance is!
Betrothed is one of many fragrances from this brand that evoke a beautiful and unique fragrance that will set you apart from others. Betrothed is light and beautiful with some mysterious depth that is so intriguing.
Betrothed has the feeling of times gone by with its soft white tea rose. Feeling both grand and romantic, it's been my easy reach lately. I love the spices, woods and vanilla and haven’t smelled anything quite like it before!
A beautiful soft rose that gets a bit sweeter over time. Longevity is amazing.
