A gorgeous, almost creamy rose floral with a little spice from the black peppercorn and oudh. This started as an experiment in combining all of my "white" materials but took on a life of its own when it sparked a memory of watching a man propose in the Portland Rose Garden.

Notes: white tea roses, transparent bone musk, white lilies, white oudh, a trace of vanillin and black peppercorn

White oudh (aetoxylon) is a different tree species than the agarwood of traditional true oudh. It does not have the animalic undertones that are common with this material, but it is wonderfully complex and provides an excellent base for transparent florals.

Such a lovely scent!

Typically I am an earthy, mossy, woody kinda girl. I go for what some would consider a more masculine scent profile, and while trying to diversify my collection I have found I’m very picky about florals…. But this one is special. This is such a light, airy scent but still manages to have some depth. It’s borderline addictive to me, I can’t stop smelling it when I spray it. Even while testing all the scents I got, I kept going back to this one over and over. It really is a magical scent, and I’m still surprised how much it’s caught my attention, being so far outside my typical style :)

Soft & Beautiful

I didn't think I would like this fragrance. I'm normally not someone that enjoys florals, but this one has won me over. The rose note is soft and complimented by the subtle spiciness of the black pepper. It's not overwhelming and doesn't remind me of the cellophane-wrapped soap that's been in my grandmother's bathroom for decades. It has a subtle sweetness to it. While, yes, it is a floral, there is something deeper... more unique wafting from the background that makes this fragrance one to remember. This is a clean, feminine fragrance with a slight kick to it, something that you wear when you want to be remembered... and if you want to take it up a notch, layer it with Brushfire... it's smokiness mixed with Betrothed's sweet rosiness is absolutely captivating.

a lovely warm and creamy fragrance!

this is a beautifully blended fragrance. it's creamy with the warmth of subtle pepper. there's an amazing soaring rose that feels clean and comforting. this feels like warm sun shining through flowy, white curtains.

if you made a sweet carbonara with rose....

This fragrance is a creamy and delicate while having a lightly spicy edge that is reminiscent of how black pepper cuts the richness of the fat in carbonara. The white tea roses and oud lend a creaminess to this fragrance that is reminiscent of a thick and lush rose milk. While decadent, it isn't overindulgent. It reminds me of the fanciest tea party with a beautiful spread of delicacies that are best enjoyed while wearing your finest clothing. I am truly blown away by how beautiful this fragrance is!
