Something I particularly love about Cirrus is their ability to make me fall in love with scents I wouldn’t otherwise gravitate towards. I’m not typically a fan of lavender, and most of the time the idea of clean laundry scents makes me run for the hills. I strongly dislike anything soap or described as clean, but the Earl Grey and sandalwood add a gorgeous depth to this scent that keep it from veering into fancy hotel soap. Instead, this is nostalgic, comforting and airy. I’m so impressed with how Zoey managed to make every scent into art and tell a story. And I’m so glad I decided to sample this one despite thinking I wouldn’t enjoy it. I’ll definitely be grabbing a rollerball of this one!
I purchased a 5mL rollerball of Laundry Day a couple months ago. I wasn’t sure what to expect because of the name. I know I didn’t want to smell soapy, but it has tea in it and that is my weakness, so I bought it. I am so glad that I did! It is my top 5! I’m not sure what the new formulation smells like, but I’m excited to try it now too. If you have a chance to this fragrance, do it!
When I was a kid, my mom would do laundry and then spray lavender onto our sheets before ironing them. It was a beautiful lavender, probably from L’Occitane.
Laundry Day reminds me so much of that scent memory. It is an extremely comforting fragrance for me. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a really beautiful lavender.
The tea comes through most strongly at the opening, and it really does feel like the smell of tea wafting from a nearby table. I love the smell of earl grey tea & this is perfect.
The perfume fades after a couple of hours, leaving a lovely skin scent that smells like clean laundry in all the best ways. Personally, the shorter longevity is a plus for me as someone who is sensitive to scent.
Because I am so sensitive to scent, the fact that I can enjoy this on a test strip AND my skin is a big win for me. I just took a nap while inhaling this heavenly fragrance. Thank you Cirrus Parfum!
This hits every thing I wanted for a Spring/Summer day escape perfume. It’s crisp and bright and has a lovely depth from the lavender and sandalwood. I I also get so many compliments when I wear it. The throw is really satisfying and I apply this in the morning and can still detect it wafting around me until early evening.
Some scents can be described as "your skin but better". I think of Laundry Day as "your life but better". This fragrance is effortlessly getting it all done. The lavender is perfect - it's a note, it's a vibe, it's a both cozy and expansive, like a little cottage and also the forest and garden that surround it. The tea rings in as an earthy waft of steam drifting from a recently poured cup that's still steeping... Honestly, this scent wears so easily and readily that I find myself believing I can be one of those incredible beings who always looks chill in flowy cotton sundresses and who has woodland creatures voluntarily helping with household tasks and garden chores.
